“Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed else he falls”. 1 Corinthians 10:12
I was returning from work one afternoon with my 3 year old daughter walking beside me, holding onto my hand. Suddenly she stumbled, almost falling but for my hands she held onto. I analysed the incident and realised she was distracted. Then I thought: “I could actually walk with God and still stumble”.
Distractions on the path of righteousness sometimes comes in disguise. Distance from the holy spirit is gradual and unsuspecting Christian will think they have just been busy lately. Distractions from all works of life wants to make us stumble. Oh Christian seek not yet repose, you are in the midst of foes, why not watch? Watch, watch, watch and pray. When walking with God we need to watch (don’t be distracted) and pray.
The Good news is like I held onto her hands, not letting go, God will never let you go, he never gives up on anyone, no wonder, he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to shed his precious, priceless blood in a shameful way for you. Jesus Christ is here.
Note: No one is too righteous, no one is too sinful to be tempted. Walk with God, watch and pray.
